The Blackhawks have released medical updates on Reese Johnson and Mackenzie Entwistle.
The Chicago Blackhawks have released two medical updates prior to their Tuesday night matchup with the Las Vegas Golden Knights.
According to the release from the team, Mackenzie Entwistle has been placed on injured reserve with a right wrist injury. The move is retroactive to February 14th. Entwistle has appeared in 46 games for the Blackhawks this season. The 23-year-old forward has two goals and five assists on the season.
Along with the update on Entwistle, the Blackhawks have also announced that center Reese Johnson has entered concussion protocol. Johnson missed an optional skate on Monday with what was originally labeled a "maintenance day".
It appears to be a bit more than normal maintenance as Johnson will likely miss at least a week while in concussion protocol. The 24-year-old has also appeared in 46 games for the Blackhawks this season. He has four goals and two assists on the season.
