Cowboys’ CeeDee Lamb Makes Bold Statement On 2024
Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

There had been rumors that Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb could hold out if he did not land a contract extension from the club, but Lamb has put all of that chatter to rest.

During a recent conversation with TMZ, Lamb said his offseason has gotten pretty well thus far.

“Relaxing, chilling, working out of course,” said Lamb.

The star pass-catcher also addressed the rumors about a potential holdout.

“Winning — I’m looking forward to winning and being out there with my guys, and making another run at this thing,” Lamb said. “… Yeah, I’ll be in Dallas.”

So Lamb is assuring everyone that he will be with the Cowboys in 2024, and he seems to be hinting at being with the club in training camp.

Of course, it’s only April, and all of that can change.

Lamb is entering the final year of his deal and is slated to earn a tick under $18 million next season. If Dallas is unable to strike a long-term pact with him, he will hit free agency next March.

The 25-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Oklahoma, was selected by the Cowboys with the 17th overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft.

He enjoyed an impressive rookie campaign, registering 74 catches for 935 yards and five touchdowns.

Lamb has gotten better and better each year since.

The Opelousas, La. native caught 79 passes for 1,102 yards and six scores during his sophomore season, and the following year, he snared 107 balls for 1,359 yards while reaching the end zone nine times.

Lamb then put forth the best campaign of his career to date in 2023, hauling a league-leading 135 receptions for 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns.

He has made three straight trips to the Pro Bowl, and this past year, he earned a First-Team All-Pro selection.

We’ll see if the Cowboys can get something done with CeeDee Lamb in the coming months.
