On May 11, New Japan Pro-Wrestling presented NJPW Resurgence from Toyota Arena in Ontario, California.

Among other matches, Jon Moxley defended the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship against Shota Umino, and Eddie Kingston put the STRONG Openweight Championship on the line against Gabe Kidd.

  • House Of Torture (EVIL, Jack Perry & Ren Narita) def. CHAOS (Rocky Romero & Tomohiro Ishii) & The DKC
  • The West Coast Wrecking Crew (Jorel Nelson & Royce Isaacs) def. Dirty Work (Fred Rosser & Tom Lawlor) 
  • NJPW STRONG Openweight Tag Team Championship: Guerrillas Of Destiny (El Phantasmo & Hikuleo) def. TMDK (Mikey Nicholls & Shane Haste) (c) to win the titles.
  • NJPW STRONG Women’s Championship: Stephanie Vaquer (c) def. Alex Windsor 
  • Los Ingobernables de Japon (Tetsuya Naito & Yota Tsuji) def. BULLET CLUB (David Finlay & KENTA)
  • Zack Sabre Jr. def. Hiroshi Tanahashi 
  • NJPW World Television Championship: Jeff Cobb (c) def. Lance Archer
    • Tomohiro Ishii came out and confronted Cobb after the bell. Cobb accepted his challenge.
  • NEVER Openweight Championship: Shingo Takagi (c) def. Yuya Uemura
  • No Rope Last Man Standing Match for NJPW STRONG Openweight Championship: Gabe Kidd def. Eddie Kingston (c) to win the title.
    • Jack Perry appeared, and The Young Bucks attacked Eddie Kingston after the match.
  • IWGP World Heavyweight Championship: Jon Moxley (c) def. Shota Umino
    • EVIL and Ren Narita attacked Moxley and Umino after the match, and EVIL said that he was Moxley’s next challenger. He also spray-painted the title.
