Milan have ‘identified’ next coach – the summer mercato that will support him

The AC Milan leadership have clear ideas for the coming weeks about the profile that they will look to bring in during the summer window, according to one journalist.

Gerry Cardinale gave an interview on stage at the Qatar Economic Forum yesterday and as part of it he looked to reassure Milan fans regarding his vision for the club. Now, that talk must become actions.

As per the latest from Antonio Vitiello of MilanNews, the vision of the Milan management for the new head coach and the summer mercato can now be clearly outlined.

The coach

Regarding the new manager, it appears from the club that the profile has been identified but not yet fully secure, and it and will be a young coach with potential.

One of the key things is that they will have attacking tactical ideas, playing a 4-3-3 or a 4-2-3-1 system, and the name will be announced at the end of the season.

For Milan the choice of coach is delicate, but equally important is strengthening the squad and bringing in strong players that raise the overall level.

The mercato

Geoffrey Moncada and his team will focus heavily on improving the squad and there is an ‘ambitious’ summer transfer campaign planned to support the new head coach.

The following players will definitely arrive: a new striker, a new central midfielder, a new right-back and a new central defender. Thus, it could be that a new spine of the team is constructed.
