Atletico Madrid striker Angel Correa was happy with his double in their 5-0 win against Las Palmas.
Correa went into the game suffering from bronchitis.
He said: "I drank syrup but it didn't go away, one day I couldn't go to training, but I was very happy for Cholo's confidence. Very happy for playing and for having made a great effort and helped the team with two goals."
Correa was close to leaving last month for Saudi Arabia and also said: "When it was closed and I stayed at Atltico, I was very happy. I knew I had to push harder. Work always pays you, I'm clear about that and I'm very happy for the game I was able to play today."
"We are aware of the importance of Tuesday's match (against Inter Milan), they are a very difficult opponent, similar to us, and we hope to bring a good result.
"Happy for the opportunity to be able to play and help the team with those goals. I am left with the fact that the team created many chances and with more calm the team will score more."
