Toppin scored 11 points in his four first-quarter minutes, making all five of his shots. Indiana’s bench had 19 points in the first quarter alone, shooting 8 for 9. That’s almost as many points as Milwaukee’s bench had for all of Game 2 (20).
The energy of the Pacers overwhelmed the Bucks late in the quarter, with Indiana pushing the ball and Toppin simply outrunning defenders for easy buckets.
