It's a beautiful day for dingers around MLB, and it's our goal to profit off of them. Here are my three favorite players to hit a home run Friday.
Xander Bogaerts started off hot this season with four home runs in his first 12 games, but he's cooled off in the power department with just one homer in June. I think this is a perfect spot for him to get back on track, as the wind will be blowing out strongly to left field at Great American Ballpark Friday. Bogaerts is +500 to go yard at other books, so I'll scoop up the value on +750 here.
It's shaping up to be a hitter's paradise at Citizens Bank Park today, as the strong winds blowing out to center field will create a 27 percent boost to home runs (Ballpark Pal). Nick Castellanos has hit two of his 10 home runs this season in the last five games, and he's hit three homers against Josiah Gray in just 11 at-bats against the Washington Nationals starter.
We've got an ideal combination for home runs shaping up in the Mile High City today. The Colorado Rockies will be starting Austin Gomber, who has given up the third-most homers in MLB this season (19), plus the game is being held at Coors Field, the friendliest hitter's park in the league. Jake Rogers is second on the Detroit Tigers this year in home runs, and he's hit seven of his 10 dingers against left-handed pitching.
